Sally and Brion
(The short story)

Brion was born and grew up in Sacramento California, a few decades ago.
Sally was born and grew up in Taisun, Canton province, China not as many decades ago.
Sally met Brion.
Brion met Sally.
Sally and Brion fell in love.
Sally and Brion live happily ever after.

(The slightly less short story)

Sally and Brion met in San Francisco one day not too long ago while walking near a park. Brion thought Sally was the most beautiful woman he had ever met. Sally thought Brion was kind of cute too. They went off together to share lunch at Mel’s Drive in to see if they had many things to talk about, and know if there was more between them than aesthetic appreciation.

Sally and Brion decided they would like to try again after their first lunch, and set up an agreement to meet again soon. They did this many times, and each time, they found themselves more and more appreciative of each other. They found they shared a common expression of faith in God, a desire to find a relationship that expressed this, and that would support and encourage their mutual desire to live according to His will.

Soon they wanted to see each other every day, but there was a problem…

103.49 miles separated Sally and Brion because of their job and home arrangements!! How ever would they meet again??

"Not to worry," said Brion, "I’ll just massively re-arrange my work and free-time schedule, adjust my financial priorities on a monthly basis, sell my truck and buy an economy car for savings on gas, and every thing will be fine.”

"For my part," said Sally, "I’ll massively re-arrange my school schedule, consistently sacrifice my budgeting priorities, absorb extra phone bill costs, and pitch in a few bucks for gas when needed, and always be willing to have dinner ready when you arrive so we can save money for our future, by not always going out.”

"Future?" said Brion. "Hmmm," he thought. "This gives me an idea."

One day, (Valentines day February 14, 2004 to be exact, after having dated the most beautiful woman in the world for quite a few months now) Brion bought a big shiny rock, some yummy candy, and a whole lot of roses, drove to Sally’s house, and he asked her if she would condescend and consent to be his bride. What happened next was amazing…

Sally said...

YES!!!

This made everyone in their families, and all their friends very happy, as everyone could see how happy Sally and Brion made each other so soon after, they set a date for a big celebration.

The rest you all know, was about Love.
